Subject: Healing Pain with EMDR – what you need to know about pain, the brain and treatment! You will explore:
Two radically new perspectives on:
· How and where pain is created, and its meaning/purpose
· The brain as a ‘predictive machine’ that modulates pain according to sensory inputs, imaginal reframing, and creating changes in context
· The importance of the therapeutic relationship in the treatment of pain.
How these new perspectives help explain how EMDR and sensori-motor interventions lead to healing of acute and chronic pain.
Three CPD Points awarded by the EMDR UK Association

I have always loved the pastoral side of education, particularly the opportunities to see young people develop and flourish in whatever ways work for them. As a result of this interest, I completed a Masters in Guidance and Counselling in Education in 1998 followed by a PhD in 2002 that bridged the worlds of counselling and education.
